Argo Connect

How Argo Connect Works

Argo Connect provides currently enrolled high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credits at the University of Providence. Students enroll in courses at UP under the Argo Connect program through the summer semester following their high school graduation, taking no more than six (6) credits in a semester.

Requirements & Eligibility

Enrollees will be limited to enrollment in 100/200 level courses during their time in the Argo Connect Program, with enrollees required to meet all pre-requisite requirements for selected courses before enrollment. In addition to these requirements, students must include the following information for acceptance:

  1. Argo Connect Application (Argo Connect Application)
    • Application must include a signature from a parent or legal guardian.
  2. In-full tuition payment ($65/Credit)
  3. Official, current high school transcript
  4. Authorization/approval of high school counselor or teacher

Students in the Argo Connect program will pay $65 per credit in addition to any associated program fees. All students will be required to pay tuition in full at the time of registration and will not be eligible to receive financial aid.

Admission & Questions

Students interested in applying to Argo Connect can fill out the Argo Connect Application, the first step in the process. During the process, students can view available courses by semester through Argo Express using the appropriate filtering criteria.

Any questions about the Argo Connect program can be directed to the Office of Admissions by calling 406-761-8210 or by email at admissions@uprovidence.edu.

Dual Credit

How Dual Credit Works

The dual credit option provides current high school students the opportunity to take high school courses that can then be applied as UP credit. Students enrolled in the dual credit program take and complete approved courses for credit at their high school. Current participating Great Falls, MT high schools include:

  • Great Falls Public High Schools
    • Great Falls High School
    • Charles M. Russell High School
  • Great Falls Central Catholic High School
Requirements & Eligibility

Once a course is accepted, the student pays $65 per credit hour, which will reflect on an official UP transcript. Students who transfer applicable credits to UP will not have to pay program fees. To earn credits that can be applied, students will be required to:

  • Complete an approved course at a participating school.
  • Submit a completed credit acceptance petition to the UP Argo Central
  • Provide an official high school transcript to the University of Providence
    • Must show completion of the course with an earned grade of C or higher.
  • Petition for credit acceptance within two (2) academic years of  HS graduation.

**Students who go on to attend the University of Providence will not be charged associated program fees for credits earned as part of the dual credit program.
