Our Campus & Community

There’s a reason Montana is known as the ‘Big Sky Country.’

Montana has approximately 38 million acres of public land, 170,000 miles of rivers and 3,200 lakes to its name. It’s an outdoors enthusiast’s dream.

Our Campus

A park like setting, the University of Providence occupies a 44-acre campus immediately south of 10th Avenue South in Great Falls. The campus is made up of 17 buildings, including mature trees and 1960’s architecture. The size of the campus allows students to move easily between classes, administrative offices and services, athletic events and university activities.

Our Community

Great Falls, home base for the University of Providence campus, is a mid-sized town (pop.59,000) with a laid-back pace. You’ll be free to relax, take in the scenery and connect with your values. Known as the “Basecamp of Art and Adventure”, Great Falls is halfway between Glacier and Yellowstone national parks and is the third largest city in Montana.

Outdoor Recreation in Montana

University of Providence’s campus is minutes away from some of the best outdoor experiences, and thanks to Montana’s four seasons, you can stay active outside year round. Take a hike or go for a bike ride down the nearly 60-mile River’s Edge Trail system. Float down the Missouri River. Experience some of the best fly-fishing in North America. Shred the slopes at Showdown Ski Area, just a short hour’s drive away.

Indoor Entertainment in Great Falls

Prefer to admire the scenery indoors? Enjoy the city’s live entertainment scene – concerts, symphony shows, Broadway shows, auctions, dances – and historical and cultural attractions, including art and history museums. Great Falls is home to 10 museums including the famed C.M. Russell Museum, billed “The Art and Soul of the American West,” and the First People’s Buffalo Jump, one of the largest prehistoric sites in the United States.
