The University of Providence’s Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing programs are fully accredited through regional and national accrediting boards. The accrediting and approval agencies regulating UP’s nursing degrees are listed below.

2024 CCNE Accreditation Evaluation

The University of Providence’s Masters of Science in Nursing programs are currently undergoing a scheduled accreditation evaluation facilitated by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The evaluation includes an on-site evaluation in October 2024.

Site Visit Dates: Monday, October 28, 2024 – Wednesday, October 30, 2024

In accordance with CCNE’s on-site review process, CCNE provides the opportunity for program constituents, key stakeholders, and the general public to submit, third-party comments concerning the program’s qualifications for accreditation. Third-party comments must be received by CCNE no later than 21 days prior to the first day of the on-site evaluation.

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 07, 2024

Comment submissions must relate to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must:

  • Identify the university and program(s) in question.
  • Signed by the commenter with their full name.
  • Submitted in English

 

All submitted comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to reviewing the University of Providence’s Master of Science in Nursing programs. Comments are NOT shared with the program at any time during the accreditation evaluation process.
