Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team
At the University of Providence, the CARE Team plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and thriving campus environment where every member of our community can flourish. More than just a safety net, the CARE Team is a proactive, compassionate resource dedicated to student well-being, success, and belonging.
The CARE Team is a collaborative group of faculty, staff, and administrators from across the University who work together to identify and respond to concerns—whether academic, emotional, behavioral, or personal—that may be affecting a student’s ability to succeed and fully engage in campus life. While the team can address situations that may be troubling, disruptive, or potentially harmful to self or others, its primary mission is to offer care, resources, and connection before challenges become crises.
Through early outreach and coordinated support, the CARE Team helps students navigate academic pressures, mental health needs, life transitions, and other obstacles that may arise. By fostering open communication and offering personalized response plans, the team ensures that students feel seen, valued, and supported in every dimension of their growth—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
When a concern is shared, the CARE Team promptly reviews the situation, determines the level of need, and develops a compassionate, holistic plan of action. This may include connecting students with campus resources, creating a support network, or addressing safety and well-being concerns in partnership with the student.
At UP, care is a shared responsibility—and the CARE Team is here to walk alongside every Argo, ensuring that no one navigates challenges alone.
