Outside Scholarship Opportunities for UP Students

At UP, we understand the challenges and costs associated with getting a degree. We want to provide you with all the right tools to succeed, educationally and financially.

Finding the right financial resources to earn a undergraduate, graduate or certification can be intimidating. We want to make it easy for you to explore outside resources in supplementing your degree. We offer each of our students scholarship opportunities, but we understand that some students need more assistance and we want to get you that help. Please check out these outside scholarships that can help you achieve your career goals.

Montana Community Foundation Scholarship
  • Wide range of eligibility qualifications for a diverse range of students
  • Scholarship awards generally range from $500 – $5,000, some of which are renewable
  • Application available January 1,2021
  • Application deadline – March 19, 2021

Montana Community Foundation Scholarship Toolkit
Reach Higher Montana Scholarship
  • 80 $1000 scholarships will be awarded to High School Seniors and College Students
  • Must be a MT high school senior or graduate
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Attending MT college or university at least half time in 2021-2022
  • Completed 2021-2022 FAFSA application
  • Application deadline – January 15, 2021

Montana Food Distributor Association Scholarships
  • Applicants should be associated with the Food Industry, either by employment or a family relationship within the Industry
  • Applications must include:
    • All pertinent grade transcripts
    • Three letters of reference, with at least one from a qualified person who can reflect on the applicant’s educational background
    • List of accomplishments, to include and academic, athletic, organization awards, and other accomplishments. List by academic year earned
    • The applicant must summarize their background in 500 words or less. This summary should include any reason (athletic, financial, activities, awards, employment, etc) that the applicant feels shows why they should be considered for the scholarship award
  • Applications available in the Financial Aid Office (request an emailed copy at financialaid@uprovidence.edu) and must be mailed to MFDA in Helena, MT

Application deadline – March 12, 2021

Big Sky Chapter of American Business Women’s Association Impact Scholarship
  • $2000 Scholarship available to a female student attending a Montana college or university who is seeking a baccalaureate degree
  • Applicants must be:
    • S. citizen
    • Resident of Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, or Jefferson counties in MT
    • At least a college freshman in August 2020 with at least 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Application deadline – March 31, 2021
