Outside Scholarship Opportunities for UP Students

At UP, we understand the challenges and costs associated with getting a degree. We want to provide you with all the right tools to succeed, educationally and financially.

Finding the right financial resources to earn a undergraduate, graduate or certification can be intimidating. We want to make it easy for you to explore outside resources in supplementing your degree. We offer each of our students scholarship opportunities, but we understand that some students need more assistance and we want to get you that help. Please check out these outside scholarships that can help you achieve your career goals.

Please do not be deterred by writing an essay or finding those small scholarships! Many of those go unclaimed each year!

Montana Community Foundation Scholarship Toolkit
National Military Family Association Scholarship
  • $1000 scholarship available to be used towards degrees, certifications, licensure, clinical supervision for mental health licensure, CEU’s, business expenses and more
  • Any spouse eligible to hold a valid military ID is eligible to apply
  • Eligibility requirements:
    • are a spouse of a member of the seven Uniformed Services with a valid military ID
    • are married to an active duty, reserve, guard, retired, medically retired, wounded or fallen service member (must be service-related wound, illness, injury or death that took place after September 11, 2001)
    • are a dual service military spouse
    • are a divorced spouse, but ONLY if you receive 20/20/20 benefits

AAUW Doris Davis-Gallagher Memorial Scholarship

One $2,500 scholarship will be offered. This is a one-time award and must be used in the time awarded.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A resident of Park County, MT or Mammoth Hot Springs, with an established MT residency
  • A 3.0 cumulative or higher GPA
  • Must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or entering graduate school
  • Must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits while receiving scholarship money
  • Must have two (2) signed letters of recommendation submitted with application
  • Deadline June 13, 2023

2023 AAUW Scholarship Application

Benefis Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program

Scholarships which are designed to support students working toward degrees in the healthcare field.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Full-time student (nine or more credits)
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Preference to Junior or Senior in accredited programs
  • Community involvement, strong career motivation, and personal recommendations
