Types of Scholarships
Institutional Scholarships
Merit and Athletic scholarships are the primary scholarship funding used to lower the cost of your education. Our generous merit and athletic scholarships range from $7,500-full ride.
Merit Scholarships
All undergraduate students who are not being recruited by an athletic coach are considered for merit scholarships upon their acceptance into the University of Providence. Merit scholarship amounts for freshmen are determined by each student’s high school academic performance.
Transfer students are evaluated for merit scholarships based on previous academic performance.
Awards are renewable each year as long as a student remains full-time status and continues to make satisfactory academic progress.
Athletic Scholarships
Athletic scholarships are determined by the coach of each sports team and take the place of a merit scholarship on a financial aid offer.
Under normal circumstances, student Athletic scholarships are not eligible to be stacked with Merit scholarships.
