Corps of Discovery

UP’s Freshman Experience

Corps of Discovery isn’t a typical first-year student experience.

Students will explore Montana while getting to know classmates and building friendships that will support them throughout college and life. Students meet in the classroom for one hour a week and then meet up outside the classroom on evenings and weekends. That’s when the fun begins. Hiking, rafting, skiing – these are just a few of the activities students get to experience. There’s also a wide range of cultural attractions in and around Great Falls. Student can volunteer with service projects and participate in retreat weekends to connect with values and faith, as well. As you push your limits, you’ll become more aware of who you are and who you want to be.

The Corps of Discovery helps all different kinds of students get in touch with their inner courage here in Big Sky Country.
