Program Highlights

  • Multidisciplinary Curriculum

The Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Humanities is built on the backbone of big ideas from the best thinkers. The program draws inspiration from philosophers, rhetors, writers, community activists, theologians, and leaders of industry and country, offering students unique insights and ways of thinking that transcend discipline boundaries. This approach prepares our graduates to be active participants in both local and global societies, working in collaboration with others to develop programs and lead initiatives that move our world forward.

  • Transformational Graduates

Graduates of the Integrative Humanities program will gain intellectual skills that allow them to clearly see the issues before them and to uncover new paths forward, creative skills that allow them to challenge the status quo and conceive of innovative alternatives and collaborations, rhetorical skills that allow them to communicate their ideas persuasively to distinct audiences and stakeholders, and theological skills that keep them ever mindful of the impact of each action on the humans they seek to serve.

  • Capstone & Internship Opportunities

The Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Humanities connects academic insight with real-world impact by offering a unique internship and capstone sequence. Students will first serve an existing organization, pairing rigorous academic training with the knowledge and needs of their community or field as it operates within the challenges of modern society. Following that experience, students will contribute new knowledge through a senior capstone project that seeks to improve their community or field or to create greater impact in a key area. This experiential learning prepares our graduates to be able actors and agile contributors immediately after graduation.

  • Diverse Specializations in Humanities

A unique benefit of the humanities program is the opportunity to integrate the theoretical foundations of the humanities curriculum into one of three fields: corporate social responsibility, nonprofit management, or professional grant writing. Each field is human-centric, continues to grow despite societal changes and economic declines, and is resistant to replacement by AI or other technologies. Each field also features jobs in the six-figures, allowing our students to live lives of meaning while making a living for themselves and their families.

  • Preparation for Professional Certification

The Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Humanities graduates are given the opportunity to move beyond entry-level positions and into professional roles with impact. The curriculum in each of our specializations is designed to prepare students to successfully attain nationally recognized certifications in their specific field. Professional certification creates an added layer of trust in prospective employers, assuring them that graduates of the integrative humanities program are fully prepared to contribute to the work of creating healthier and more vibrant communities and helping organizations fulfill their mission and live out their values.
