Quick Reference
What is the Healthcare Professional Tuition Incentive Program?
The Healthcare Professional Tuition Incentive Program offers a tuition incentive to currently employed healthcare professionals enrolling in undergraduate or graduate healthcare programs at the University of Providence.
Who is eligible for the tuition incentive?
The program is available to any full or part-time worker who is currently employed in healthcare. Applicants who are employed as a part-time healthcare worker will receive the same incentive award as a full-time worker.
How is the incentive applied?
Applicants will be required to answer some follow-up questions as part of their initial application in order to verify their employment status and position. Applicants will navigate the enrollment process similar to any student applying for the University of Providence. While students will not be required to reapply for the incentive once it is granted, confirmation of employment throughout enrollment may be required.
Does the incentive require employer approval?
No. The Healthcare Professional Tuition Incentive is applied separate from employer-provided education benefits. The incentive is extended by the University of Providence and eligible students can receive the incentive without notification to or authorization from their employer. Students can also apply employer-provided education benefits in unison with the Healthcare Professional Tuition Incentive Program without impacting the undergraduate or graduate award amount.
Is the program eligible outside Montana and the Pacific Northwest?
Yes. The program is eligible for healthcare professionals nationwide. While some healthcare programs at the University of Providence require in-person skill labs or clinical requirements, UP offers multiple 100% online certificate and degree programs.
