Biography:

Dr. Sachin Jain is the Program Director and Professor of Counseling for the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Dr. Jain brings over ten years of education and clinical counseling experience to his role at the University of Providence, including multiple peer-reviewed publications, two published books, and multiple awards for his contributions to the counseling profession and education in the United States and across multiple international countries.

Dr. Jain’s educational experience includes a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision, University of Wyoming, with a minor in statistics. He also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counseling from Annamalai University in India. Dr. Jain received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Inda, graduating with his Master of Arts in Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from V.B.S. Purvanchal University and his Bachelor in Business Management & Mathematics from CSJM Kanpur University. In addition to his educational accomplishments, Dr. Jain is a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors and a certified Mathematics & Physics K-12 teacher through the American Board for Certification in Teacher Excellence.

Dr. Jain joined the University of Providence’s Counseling department in 2019, where he helped to grow the program to be one of the first CACREP-accredited online Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs in the nation. Before joining the University of Providence, he taught in counselor education programs at the University of South Dakota, George Mason University, Oakland University, University of Texas-Pan American, and the University of Idaho. He worked as a professional counselor for the SEV American College of Istanbul, the International School of Ouagadougou, Post Falls High School, and more.
