Providence Formation Program

A Commitment to Co-Curricular Service Learning

Through the Providence Formation Program, students reveal God’s love for others by serving in the community and reflecting on those experiences with each other.

Students commit to volunteering each week with a local organization for the duration of their years at the University. Through various activities like reading and playing with elementary school students or bowling with people who have physical or cognitive challenges, students gain new insight into themselves and others.

To build on these insights, students meet in small reflection groups where they seek out the gift of these sacred encounters while growing in community with each other.
