Senior Director Business Operations, Kylie Carranza

As an alumna of the former University of Great Falls, I am proud to be involved with growth of our university. I first started working as an admission counselor in 2014 after graduation and moved into the role as director of advancement for 3 years. I recently transitioned into business operations, where I oversee university facilities and construction projects, human resources, and risk and compliance. I also serve a chief of staff to Justin Crowe, the Executive Vice President. I love both the city of Great Falls and the University of Providence, and see the value of having a university in the community.

One of the most exciting projects I work on with Providence St. Joseph Health real estate and construction and the UP staff is the construction of our newest building, the University Center. We broke ground for the site in May 2018 and have begun construction with a target completion date of August 2, 2019 (if the Montana winter doesn’t get in the way!). The facility will be located on the 20th street south side of campus and is around 36,000 sq. feet with two levels.

The University Center will become the main entrance point for campus so students, alumni, and visitors will be directed to their destination. Argo Central will be located in the facility, which is the one stop for current and prospective students on campus for admissions, financial aid, registrar and business office. Also, information services will be located in the building to help online students and provide IT support for on-campus students.

The University Center also has a community aspect with the addition of a conference/event room that can hold up to 350 seated or 800 lecture-style capacity. The Galarie Trinitas will be located on the lower level to promote and show the work of Sister Trinitas and feature rotating art exhibits.

The contractor for the project is Jackson Contractor Group, which is based out of Missoula and Bozeman, MT and the architect is NAC Architecture based out of Seattle, WA. I am proud to say that all the sub-contractors and suppliers of this project are located in Great Falls, MT. Not only is this project advancing the work of the University of Providence, but it is also supporting local businesses and boosting the economy for the Great Falls community.

If you want to see more of the University Center, please view the video and photos below. I am also available for questions at 406-791-5305 or kylie.carranza@uprovidence.edu. Stay tuned for the invitation to the University Center grand opening!
