Sara Compaore

Sara Compaore is a first-year student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She received full scholarship under the International Leader of Tomorrow award. Prior to that, she studied at the International school of Ouagadougou, where she received multiple awards including AISA (Association of International Schools in Africa) Student Leader award due to her initiation of Brightness project, aimed at supporting education by providing solar lamps to students without electricity. By participating in the Academic Success Center, she aims to improve the beneficiaries’ quality of life, and therefore moving towards creating an equitable society.
