Roxane Farida Beyire Somda

Roxane Farida Beyire Somda comes from Burkina Faso and graduated from the International School of Ouagadougou (ISO). At ISO, Roxane was the Leader of the Education for Girls project and earned the Student Service Leader and the Turtle Spirit Awards. She also participated in the Student Government, School Board, Friends of African Villages (FAVL) organization, and Yale Young African Scholar program. Throughout her high school journey, Roxane received a variety of awards which include honor rolls, Excellent Attendance, Certificate of Academic Merit in Math and Social Studies, Certificates of Academic Excellence and of Academic Growth, and West African International School Athletic League (WAISAL) MIP Award (In Basketball). Outside of the academic sphere, Roxane has had some work experiences. Roxane is pursuing a major in Economics and Management in Engineering at Stanford University.
