Melissa Robinson, PhD, RN, Professor and Division Chair, Nursing Programs
Originally from Montana, Dr. Robinson started her career as a registered nurse at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls in 1991.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Salish Kootenai College
Master’ of Science in Nursing Education, Community Health, Oregon Health & Science University
PhD in Nursing Education, Capella University
Dr. Robinson’s clinical background includes work in primarily community-based settings including 22 years in hospice & palliative care. She has been teaching in nursing education since 2006 with experience as an adjunct faculty member at Salish Kootenai College and 12 years of experience as Professor of Nursing at Linfield School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon. She has developed and taught courses in community and population health, nursing leadership, palliative care nursing, and trauma-informed care.
In addition to her commitment to the health and social issues impacting vulnerable individuals and communities, Dr. Robinson is passionate about nursing workforce development that emphasizes mentoring, leadership, and education.
