New School of Health Professions Staff

The School of Health Professions has recently welcomed new staff to the University of Providence to support our growing academic programs. Our goal is for all of these new staff to spend time with staff and faculty over the next several months.

Cynthia Gustafson, PhD, RNCynthia Gustafson, PhD, RN began her new position in August 2017 as the associate dean for undergraduate nursing programs. This month, Cynthia is now managing the RN-BSN program in addition to beginning the new Post Baccalaureate (second degree) BSN program. Prior to joining the university, she was the executive director for the Montana Board of Nursing for seven years. She previously was the nursing chair for Carroll College and has many years of experience teaching undergraduate nursing programs for a variety of universities. She works from a home office in Helena, Mont., and reports to Victoria Hays. Since Cynthia lives so close to campus, you will see her here often attending meetings and getting to know all of you.

Judy Ramento, MN RN, RNC-LRN, CCM recently began her new role with the university as the medical assistant (MA) program director. Judy has over 20+ years of nursing experience and within the last several years, focused on nursing education that included MAs. She previously worked for Providence St. Joseph Health at the system office and has her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from the University of Washington. Judy participated on the recent university MA program design team, wrote one of the MA curriculum courses, and is teaching the first MA course this month.

Greg Stivers, MSGreg Stivers, MS recently began his new position with the university as the new program coordinator for Certificate and Associate Degree Programs. Greg most recently worked for seven years as an academic adviser at Great Falls College MSU. Before that, he worked in admissions for four years at the University of Great Falls/Providence. Greg holds a BA in Radio/TV and Mass Communications from Grand View University and a MS in public relations from Montana State University Billings. Greg believes in the transformative power of higher education and thrives on helping students realize their academic dreams. Greg’s office is located in room 209, Providence Hall, and his telephone number is 791-5294. Greg reports to Jamie Owens.
