Interim Medical Assistant Program Director

Hayley Chang- Interim Program Director for Medical Assistant Program

We would like to take the opportunity to introduce our newly appointed Interim Program Director for the University of Providence Medical Assistant (MA) Program. We are excited to welcome Hayley Chang into this position as she continues her work with the MA Program.

Starting My 10th, 2021, she will be transitioning into the Interim Program Director position, as Judy Ramento transitions out of her current role. Over the past month, Hayley has worked with faculty, students and Judy as she has prepared for this position.

The University continues to support and promote the ongoing growth and success of the MA Program as we look forward to our accreditation on-site visit in the Fall of 2021. We are excited to watch Hayley serve in this position as we continue to support our students working towards their certificate in our Medical Assistant programs.

Hayley graduated from Lake Washington Institute of Technology with an Associates of Applied Sciences (AAS) in Medical Assisting. She began her clinical practice as a Medical Assistant working for the University of Washington in the UW Medicine Eastside Specialty Clinic. In addition, she has worked with Swedish Medical Group in Primary Care.

She began her educational career working for the University of Providence as a Medical Assistant Adjunct Faculty in early 2019 before transitioning into the full-time MA Program Clinical Skills Lab Coordinator in January 2020. Her responsibilities will include the coordination of practicum placements, clinical skills lab oversite, and training for all skills lab faculty in all four locations (WA, OR, MT, TX).

Hayley currently resides in Renton, Washington with her husband and her two dogs. During her down time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and volunteering with Big Brother Big Sister. She is looking forward to further her education with CE’s, professional certificates, and workshops.

She can be reached via email at Hayley.chang@uprovidence.edu.
