PROVIDENCE RN-BSN PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

The University of Providence RN to BSN Degree Completion Program is a program offered to licensed, practicing Registered Nurses. RNs in the Providence St. Joseph Health and Partners system may be eligible for Providence St. Joseph Health scholarship funds.

Program Requirements

The follow items must be met to be eligible for the program:

  • Graduate of an Associate Degree program in Nursing (or diploma program) with the following courses completed: Anatomy & Physiology (4 credits), Microbiology (3 credits).
  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Applicants must complete the University of Providence Application for Admission located at uprovidence.edu as a RN-BSN student.

Providence St. Joseph Health Scholarship Requirements

The following items must be met for applicants to be eligible for Providence St. Joseph Health scholarship funds:

  • Employed as a Registered Nurse (RN) at a Providence St. Joseph Health or Partner organization facility at a minimum of a 0.6 FTE for at least 6 months. LPN or CNA experience is ineligible.
  • At time of application, RN must be in a benefited position and working either part-time or full-time (minimum 0.6 FTE = 24 hours/week or greater). Per diem employees are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • RN is in good standing (you are currently not on an action or performance plan nor have been on an action plan for the previous 12 months).
  • RN is currently not on a medical leave.

Face to face Program Immersion

Date: Spring (January) Friday, January 10, 2020
Location: Providence St. Joseph Health Headquarters, 1801 Lind Ave SW, Renton, WA 98057

During program immersion you will be able to begin your first assignment in each course with your professors as well as meet your fellow students to begin group work. The program immersion also provides excellent demonstrations of the online courses and how to access the times when you meet all together. We also present the library resources as well as expectations on writing style for professional nursing. It is worth your time and expense to be present.
