Director of Operations, School of Health Professions
Position Summary
The Director of Operations, School of Health Professions provides comprehensive administrative support to the University of Providence’s School of Health Professions (SHP) and its Division of Nursing. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with nursing program accreditation requirements and outcomes. The Director of Operations, School of Health Professions plays a vital role in data acquisition, project management, quality assurance testing, and analytical reporting, as well as providing administrative support to the School of Health Professions.
Responsibilities
- Manage School of Health Professions operations to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of enrollment data, actions, and correspondences as directed by the dean.
- Acquire and secure reliable data for SHP and Nursing accreditation reports.
- Manage data storage, maintenance, and archiving, ensuring data integrity.
- Support project management as requested by the Dean.
- Oversee software and provide secure file and database management relevant to SHP programs and accreditation needs.
- Identify process and systems improvement opportunities for SHP programs.
- Perform data entry, analysis, and generate reports in presentations.
- Monitor program status and progress through formal reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Clean, transform, and normalize data for consistency and usability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of SHP data governance, policies, and procedures.
- Create and present reports, surveys, analyses, and data visualizations including scientific papers and technical reports to support accreditation requirements and program standards.
- Interpret data and statistical results to create compelling visualizations.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, extraction processes, and transformation procedures.
- Conduct data quality assessments and identify areas for improvement, suggesting appropriate solutions.
- Support faculty compliancy with university online classroom policies and testing procedures.
- Provide administrative support tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Manage travel for SHP program faculty. o Organize and maintain SHP program documents and files.
- Monitor, reroute, and report changes to the course schedule with preapprovals from the Dean and Associate Deans.
- Report errors found on course load verification forms before signatures are added.
- Support in the planning, preparation, and implementation of student orientation for SHP programs and other key events.
- Serve by organizing regular reports and taking meeting minutes, creating meeting agendas, reports for self-studies, and generating reports for self-studies and accreditation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data extraction processes, proactively addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data extraction and management.
- Assist in execution of student recruitment events, camps, and other new or outside-the-box enrollment strategies.
- Assist in Simulation coordination and development of sim center.
- Assist in creation of custom simulation scenarios on any topic for University of Providence or affiliates.
- Provide expertise relative to simulation scenarios, simulation experiences, and team debriefing exercises.
- Provide simulation training for SHP faculty and staff looking to add simulation to classes.
- Host and tour visitors, VIPs, affiliate teams, and others in the lab either for tours, demos, or full simulation experiences.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean of SHP.
Requirements
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher in either Health Science, Nursing, Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Certification(s) in one or more of the following or a related field: Healthcare, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Nursing Informatics, Information Systems
Experience
- Preferred: Three (3) years or more of work experience creating Data Analytics in reports (preferably in a Healthcare or Nursing informatics profession or Nursing accreditation)
- Experience in scheduling online meetings, organizing or planning formal meetings, computer jobs, budget management, creating formal proposals, and providing end user support

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 Annually
