A Great Falls, Montana native, Professor Gilboe is a producer, composer, playwright, producer, and director. He ran a recording studio and production company in New York City, producing albums for independent musicians and Tony, Emmy, and Oscar winning clients. He also founded the Broadway Bullet theatre podcast, conducting in-depth interviews with top theatre innovators.
Gilboe joined the university in 2010, charged with developing a new theatre program from scratch. The new Theatre and Business Arts degree program is his brainchild, uniting the creative elements of a fine arts degree with the practical business skill set needed to succeed in the theatre industry. As a composer/playwright, he wrote and produced several full-length musicals and more than 20 children’s musicals. He has directed everything from intimate plays to large musicals and has also narrated over 200 audiobook titles.
