Professor Karen Lee spent 33 years in K-12 education before joining the University of Providence faculty in 2016. She has classroom experience in upper elementary and middle school ranging from remedial to gifted. Her administrative roles include elementary principal, data and MAP testing coordinator, online learning coordinator, curriculum leader, and gifted program coordinator.
Her wide experience is foundational for her coursework for the university, providing insight for gifted and multicultural education as well as insightful supervision for student teaching assignments.
Professor Lee lives in Conrad, where she spent the bulk of her education career. She is the choir director at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church and also enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading.
