WHO IS A GOOD MATCH FOR THE HEALTH JUSTICE PROGRAM?

Our Health Justice Certificate program is ideal for anyone completing a law degree, an advanced degree in public health, or pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration. This program is also suitable for those who work in healthcare but wish to focus on or are interested in community health, health policy, or public health.

WHAT IS A CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH JUSTICE?

The Health Justice Certificate combines medical and legal studies by introducing students to legal interventions for medical problems. Completing the Health Justice Certificate allows students to recognize medical-legal problems, investigate their origin, and create new approaches and applications to address them. In addition, the program exposes students to forward-focused ideas, methods, and practicums in medical-legal partnerships.

WHERE CAN I FIND A JOB IN HEALTH JUSTICE?

As part of a growing movement in healthcare reform, careers in Health Justice are vast. The most common Health Justice careers include public health, Medical Justice, or social justice positions. Specific vocations include Health advocacy, Community Outreach Manager, Health Program Manager, or Health Equity Manager.

HOW CAN A CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH JUSTICE CHANGE MY CAREER PATH?

Our Health Justice Certificate program is a three-semester, 16-credit program designed and geared towards healthcare professionals. This year-long program breaks into six, eight-week courses covering health advocacy, leadership, health management, and social epidemiology.
