During my time at the University of Providence there have been two consistent themes throughout: opportunity and people.
The University of Great Falls/University of Providence has provided me with a vast amount of expected and unexpected opportunities. It began with the opportunity to fulfill two of my biggest dreams, get my degrees in education and science and to play collegiate softball. Little did I know that the University would also open many other doors that were never part of my original plan. It seemed as though every step I took forward or backwards, I was presented with a new opportunity and the support to be successful in that endeavor. To this day, the University continues to provide me with opportunities- I recently finished my Master’s degree, daily I am discovering and rediscovering my passion for education through my career in the Registrar’s Office and being innovative with technology to help faculty and student success, and I was an adjunct instructor of our freshman experience class this past fall. I’m very blessed to learn and work in an environment where I can share my compassion and skills with others as a way to give back to my University and to grow in ways I never knew were possible.
I am also the assistant softball coach at Great Falls Central Catholic High School, alongside three of my UGF teammates. I get to share my love of softball with young ladies who fill my heart and teach me new things each day. Each player, student, parent, colleague I meet, I thank the University of Great Falls for giving me those connections. I hold my UGF/UP family very close to my heart and I strive to help the University provide similar opportunities to others.
