BA Biology – Carroll College

PhD Developmental Biology – University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Courses Taught: Biology – General Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Microbiology, & Anatomy and Physiology; Chemistry – Essentials of Inorganic, Essentials of Organic and Biochemistry, and Biochemistry

Areas of scholarship: Steroid hormone gene regulation, lipoprotein metabolism, and neurodegenerative disorders when I was more involved in research. On the teaching side – integrating research writing and presentation into the curriculum.

Campus and Community Involvement: Official book for UP men’s and women’s basketball teams since 1999, UP GSA, UP Health Professions connections with PNWU, AT Still, WSU, UW, and Touro Montana.

Advice for students: Do not forget that you can: start late, start over, be unsure & uncertain, look different, act different, try & fail, and STILL SUCCEED!

Favorite Things to Do in Great Falls: Going to the GF market in the summer, going to movies, going to UP athletic events, GF Voyagers, Red Ants Pants music festival, fishing the Missouri, Gibson & Newlan Creek reservoirs

Hobbies: Camping, fishing, gardening, canning, reading, stained glass, sports of all sorts but especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals!
