UNDERGRADUATE NURSING PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Position Summary

This position provides comprehensive and complex administrative and operational support to the School of Health Professions (SHP) undergraduate nursing programs. Major responsibilities include advising all perspective and current undergraduate nursing students, serving as lead for the enrollment process for these programs, including transcript review; and assisting with program orientations and events. This position requires an individual who is highly responsible, uses independent judgment and initiative, as well as possesses excellent customer service, writing and problem solving skills.  All of the undergraduate nursing programs will be seeking national accreditation and the position will assist in the preparation of accreditation and other report documents. This position needs to be able to clearly articulate the undergraduate nursing program experience, University requirements, and other health programs offered in partnership with PSJH and the University.

Education Requirements

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree. A degree in healthcare, business or communication is preferred.
  • A master’s degree is highly preferred.

Desired Experience

  • Two years or greater in a similar position is preferred.
  • Previous customer service and healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Ability to review transcripts and calculate cumulative GPAs is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs and communication methods is required; this includes Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills is required.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills is required.
